We are in-network with United Healthcare and Cigna for pain management acupuncture only. We also accept Aetna and BCBSTX as out-of-network providers. Our approach to insurance is simple: we tell you exactly what's covered before your first visit, so there are no surprises. Allow 1–3 business days for benefits verification.

United Healthcare PPO and POS plans — In-Network
UHC is our best-reimbursed insurance plan and covers our standard Acupuncture & Wellness visit rates for most PPO and POS policies. If you have UHC through your employer, your acupuncture visits for pain management are likely covered with little to no out-of-pocket cost.

Cigna (In-Network) ✓
Cigna PPO and POS plans — In-Network
We are in-network with Cigna for pain management acupuncture. Important to know: Cigna's reimbursement rates and visit structures vary significantly by plan. Most Cigna policies cover a 30-minute session, which includes approximately 15 minutes of acupuncture. Additional treatment time, modalities (cupping, infrared, E-Stim), or non-pain conditions are not covered and may require a self-pay.

Aetna, BCBSTX (Out-of-Network)
Aetna & Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas — Out-of-Network
We are an out-of-network provider for Aetna and BCBSTX. If your plan includes out-of-network acupuncture benefits, we can submit claims on your behalf and you will be reimbursed at your plan's out-of-network rate after you meet your deductible.
Aetna: Verification may take 1–3 business days as we must call during business hours. We may require a self-pay pre-payment until benefits are confirmed.
BCBSTX: Same process.
Medicare Advantage Part C — Limited Coverage
Some Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans — provide a limited acupuncture benefit, but only for chronic low back pain, and only under strict conditions:
- Maximum 12 visits per 90-day period (with an additional 8 visits if clinically indicated)
- Coverage is limited to chronic low back pain only — no other conditions are covered
- Coverage varies by specifiic plan — not all Medicare Advantage plans include this benefit.
- Each plan mus be verified.
- Plans will be treated according to our network status.
We do not accept traditional Medicare, Medicare Part B, or Medicaid
Texas laws and restrictions prevent us from billing these plans directly. All other Medicare patients (traditional Medicare, Medicare Part B, Medicare Supplement/Medigap), Medicaid, and any other government-sponsored plan are welcome as self-pay patients at our standard rates.
Important Notice: Humana & TriWest Coverage Update
Despite being recently credentialed with Humana Medicare Advantage (Part C) and TriWest, platform navigation challenges and repeated claim rejections prevent us from billing them directly.
- Payment: Visits are self-pay at standard rates at time of service.
- Reimbursement: We provide an itemized superbill for you to submit to your insurer for potential reimbursement.
