Tried many ways to deal with emotional health and mood management with little progress or relief? Let's try something different. Through her own lifelong healing journey, Dr. Florida has consolidated several Eastern and Western traditions and practices into her holistic practice. In fact, when she founded Heal Your Vibe in 2017, part-time, it was to provide emotional health and mindset toools ot her patients who desperately needed them. She discovered in her 30s, by attending workshops and healing sessions, that she was an empath and healer, which gave her the ability to help people struggling with emotional and mindset management. Learn how we can utilize Acupuncture, supplements, emotional clearing and balancing, and mindset techniques to improve emotional health. We would work in conjunction with your therapist and any medications you are taking.
A 53-year-old Houston executive, who was a patient, complained of anxiety for 2 years. He was depressed, exhausted, weak, and in pain. He was seeing a therapist and taking medications. He gained 25 lbs. through emotional eating, and he slept poorly, only 3-4 hours each night. He had been under severe job stress for several years, and he had become worn out and less able to perform his daily job functions. He was overwhelmed and feared losing his job and family. He committed to a series of 15 Acupuncture treatments for his severe anxiety. His journey continued, and his progress was promising. At the mid-point of his sessions, he reported that he was 50% improved in his symptoms of anxiety, sleeping better, able to work out again, cravings reduced, and his family life had significantly improved. At the end of his treatment sessions, he reported that he was gaining much better, received positive reports from his therapist, and his doctor recommended that he reduce his medication. He kept his job and felt that he could manage life, and as a result, he felt happier and healthier than he had in 20 years.

Acupuncture helps depression, along with supplements, functional medicine, and the natural healing power of herbal medicine, which all help reduce anxiety and depression. These natural remedies have been proven effective in treating these conditions, offering hope and optimism to those who seek relief.
Depression also has both a mental and a physiological response. The causes of depression range from trauma in life, lack of direction, imbalances in brain chemistry, or gut-brain connection. The gut-brain connection refers to the bidirectional communication between the central nervous system and the enteric nervous system, which is the intrinsic nervous system of the gastrointestinal tract. Depending on the source, we will approach it accordingly. I often find that many patients are depressed due to a chemical imbalance in the brain, a gut-brain imbalance, or not being connected to their true path or purpose.
Acupuncture helps with depression, supplements, functional medicine, and natural healing. It is not my place to find their path; however, I can offer gentle nudges to encourage internal work, suggest resources, tools, and referrals to help them explore further and discover their own path and purpose.

Self-care looks different for everyone. One of the discussions she has with her patients who are emotionally, physically, or mentally out of balance is about lifestyle and self-care. Too often in our fast-paced world, people neglect adding regular self-care into their daily lives. This looks different for everyone, and she will discuss what works best for the individual based on lifestyle and interests. For instance, one person might find meditation or yoga beneficial, while another might prefer a walk in nature or a relaxing bath. One person finds gardening stressful, while another finds it calming and relaxing. Each person is different.
