Once you have scheduled an appointment, you will receive a series of emails from our email address with 'drsaraflorida' at the end. This is part of our process to ensure you are well-informed and prepared for your visit.
- You will receive a 'welcome email & patient portal Login ' that will provide you with your login details and a brief overview of the patient portal.
- Intake Health form - Online - We've made it easy for you to prepare for your appointment. This form is crucial as it provides us with the necessary information about your health, which will help us make the most of your visit. Please fill this form out before your appointment time to ensure we can make the most of your visit. This way, you won't have to spend your appointment time filling out the form, and can instead focus on your treatment and exam.
- Upload or email labs and imaging, or bring them with you during the visit.
- You will receive regular reminders via text and/or email. These reminders are not only to keep you informed, but also to demonstrate our care for your health and our commitment to supporting you in preparing for your upcoming appointment.
Your First Visit
First Visit: This is a crucial step in your treatment journey, lasting 60-90 minutes depending on the complexity of your case. It involves a comprehensive review of your health history, any relevant laboratory tests and imaging studies, a physical examination, and initial recommendations for your treatment plan.
- Please wear comfortable clothes or bring a change of clothes so that we may reach the areas needing treatment.
- It's advisable to avoid caffeine up to 2 hours before your treatment, as it can affect the effectiveness of the therapy.
- Other therapies and treatments are ok during the same day.
Therapy is incremental and cumulative, meaning that each treatment will bring about a slight improvement. This gradual progress is a sign that the treatment is working. Throughout your care, you can expect to experience long-term relief. Some visits may show more improvement than others, so don't be discouraged if you don't see significant changes in the first few visits. Each patient's healing process is unique.
Second Visit: This is a personalized experience, tailored to your unique needs. It includes a follow-up treatment, a treatment plan recommendation based on how you feel after the first visit, your specific goals of care, and an estimate of when you can expect to improve, based on our experience with similar conditions.
Supplements, Herbs & Testing: Typically, herbal medicine, supplements, and testing will be recommended in the second visit or later, so that we can better assess the needs of the patient.
Follow-up Visits: 30-40 minutes each. Treatment plans for most patients include, on average, 8-20+ treatments for long-term relief of symptoms.
Maintenance: After the initial treatment plan is complete, patients will have the flexibility to choose their maintenance schedule. They can either come as needed or periodically to maintain the benefits of care. Not everyone requires maintenance, and we will work with you to determine the best plan for your continued health.
